Welcome to our website, where you can find out more about our firm and the fields of law in which we concentrate.

At our office, we understand the legal issues facing people today. That's why our practice is devoted to protecting the lives and legacies of our clients.

Our motto is: "big firm knowledge, small firm attention."  That's because our background and New York City location allow us to offer our clients benefits usually associated with large law firms, while also offering them the personal service only a small firm can give.

Our practice concentrates on the interrelated fields of law that affect the most important moments in the lives or our clients and their loved ones:  elder law, trusts & estates, Medicaid planning, guardianship, Wills, real estate law, and business planning.

We are a full service law firm, meaning that we can handle all the steps commonly encountered across one or more of these fields, all under one roof.  This gives you seamless and complete guidance and representation from beginning to end.  From explaining how the law applies to your situation, and drafting the documents you need, to handling transactions such as purchases or sales, and advocating for you before a government agency or in Court, we can assist you in all phases of your representation.   We even handle appeals.  We can also analyze situations from a variety of angles, to avoid lawsuits, preserve assets, and minimize taxes.

We understand that, when you come to us, you are confused, you feel stressed, and you have lots of questions.  We also understand how important the fields of law in which we concentrate are to our clients.  The decisions we help them make affect the assets they may have taken a lifetime to accumulate, and go to the very core of their lives, as well as the lives of their loved ones.  We help to make sure that you, or your parent, or your child, are taken care of.  Maintaining dignity and giving you peace of mind.  Along the way, we strive to preserve your assets and protect them from things like taxes and losses.  That way there is more to pass on to future generations.

Important News:

New Power of Attorney Law and Forms:  The New York Power of Attorney law and forms changed as of June 13, 2021.  While older Power of Attorney forms signed prior to June 13, 2021 will be "grandfathered" and still remain valid, as of June 13th, the new forms must be used and must be executed in accordance with the new law.

Drastic changes to Medicaid Law coming up: New York passed a law imposing a 30 month "look back" period for assets transferred on Home Care/Community Medicaid cases, as well as other restrictions, as of January 1, 2022.  Because of the COVID pandemic, however, its implementation has been extended.  Time is running out because the asset transfers, planning documents, Medicaid application, and any medical evaluations and paperwork, all must be completed by the extended date (which has been extended again, at this point to March 31, 2024).

Call or email us today to discuss these changes and any other questions you might have about your particular situation.
